Business Unit: Global Fund Finance – Real Estate

Position Description: This position will be involved in operations, financial reporting, and fund accounting for Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds (“BREP”) and its underlying investments.                                              

Specific Responsibilities:

Liaise with Tax and the Fund Accounting team on transaction accounting; oversee quarterly production of SPV financial statements and trial balances / NAV packsSupport fund level operating activities including credit facility reports and preparation of quarterly compliance certificatesWork with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures including LPA limitations, side-letter agreements, and deal certificatesPrepare fund and investment specific regulatory filingsPlan, prepare and manage LP distribution process including coordination with deal teams and preparation of LP memosPrepare internal reporting for Real Estate COO & CFO on fund metrics; provide analysis and recommend actionsOversee entity and expense management, inclusive of fund and entity dissolution processesResponsible for the oversight of prompt responses to internal requests, investor requests, auditor requests, and ad hoc projects by the teamOversee BREP’s public operations including FMV calculations, custody management, and proxy votingManage, train and develop staff both in the U.S. and India to assist with accounting and operational workCoordinate the testing and implementation of initiatives to improve and streamline fund operations functions

Qualifications:

10+ years of public accounting, private equity fund accounting, or private equity fund operations experienceUndergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or EconomicsCPA or graduate degree preferredProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organizedPossesses a strong work ethic,  professional integrity, and a positive attitudeStrong oral and written communication and influencing skillsAbility to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects

Expected annual base salary range:

$155,000 - $225,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
