Our head office based in Kingsville, ON is currently seeking a Finance Intern to join our team. The essential function of this position is to identify and analyze financial documents and information.

Primary Responsibilities:

Identify and analyze variances from budget and prior year results. Present findings in a concise manner that accurately reflects the operating results Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting packages, including financial statements, executive summaries and board presentations Perform analysis on specific financial line items, operational or departmental spending Participation in the annual budgeting process, including pre-budget analysis and research Prepare and update ongoing operational and department spending forecasts Analyze movements in working capital, capital spending, cash and investments on recurring basis Participate in the annual external audit, tax preparation and periodic regulatory requests Other duties as assigned and special projects as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Business Management Currently Pursuing CPA Designation, a must Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel functions required: Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions are preferred) Excellent communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passionate for continuous improvement Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Previous internship experience is preferred
