Job purpose BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our PowerDrive System business unit team. The financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting both our global supply chain and finance teams through the analysis of complex pricing data, presenting data withing usable formats, preparing price impact reports, communicating, and ensuring standardization across various global reporting units. The candidate will utilize their skills to monitor and support our internal BorgWarner Supplier Liability Price Adjustment System and corresponding reporting. Key responsibilities + Facilitates monthly supply chain forecasts, annual budget and corresponding variance analysis + Works collaboratively with global supply chain and finance team members to collect and review data for accuracy and consistency + Ensures compliance with supply chain and financial reporting policies and procedures + Integrates data from multiple data sources into relevant reports + Provides support at month and quarter end by consolidating and reconciling relevant reports. + Prepare the monthly journal entry to record intercompany charges from corporate + Use SAP to prepare monthly intercompany AR confirmations and send to each reporting unit + Reconcile GL balances in SAP and OneStream monthly + Reconcile journal entries in journal entry tracker to entries posted in SAP + Prepare monthly account reconciliations for prepaid assets, accrued liabilities, and intercompany receivable/payables What we’re looking for + Intermediate level skills within Microsoft Excel required (VLookup, if statements, pivot tables, ability to data mine and compare large data sets and research issues) + Applicant must have excellent quantitative skills and extremely detail oriented with an interest in mining large data sets for accuracy and consistency + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to produce under pressure and manage multiple competing deliverables + Ability to take initiative to develop and implement new projects and process to improve forecast accuracy and supporting data trends + Self-driven individual, ability to work independently as well as with global team members + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Schedule flexibility to support global team members within other regions as needed (Americas, Europe & Asia) What we believe + Inclusion-We value diversity in people, ideas, and experiences. + Integrity- We believe in transparency, authenticity, and depend on each other to deliver what we promise. + Excellence- We contribute to our developments by seeking knowledge and sharing information. + Responsibility- We care about our local communities and the global environment. + Collaboration- We are one BorgWarner.
