This role is based in the Michelin Corporate Business Services in Bucharest, where more than 800 colleagues deliver excellence in Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Order to Cash, Personnel and Service Management.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a relevant Senior accounting role (preferably within a Shared Service Center or a multinational company)
ACCA/CIMA qualification achieved or in progress nice to have;
Fluency in English
Strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles and regulations (knowledge of Benelux local regulations would be a plus);
Knowledge and experience with direct taxes (corporate income tax) would be considered a plus;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (main interlocutors will be from Romania, Benelux perimeter and France).
The Finance Leader responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting activities for our Benelux operations within the Bucharest Shared Service Center;
General review of the monthly closure process prepared in accordance with the Group's standards and Statutory requirements, in order to guarantee the economic coherence of the financial statements and facilitate their validation by the Territory/Country Corporate Finance Leader;
Ensure quality of accounting data used for preparing tax returns
Quality and completeness of reconciliations and cycle reviews produced by CBS and outsourcer. All deliverables are shared with local accounting team. Proper support is provided on how to use them. Meaningful contribution is made to General Review and account validation;
Deliverables and data needed by statutory auditors and regulatory/tax controllers are provided within deadlines and meet quality expectations;
Accounting quality action plans, internal control and continuous progress for companies under his/her remit and all CBS/outsourcer personnel;
Standards for all CBS/outsourcer accounting activities are implemented;
Prepare and submit for validation to the Territory/Country Corporate Finance Leader of the Statutory reporting as per Benelux accounting standards and regulations (similar IFRS);
Oversee the Group and Statutory audits;
Prepare or contribute to business forecasts in order to satisfy internal and external needs;
In case of regulatory or fiscal controls, present and explain the relevant accounting data;
Provide guidance on financial matters to various departments and assist in decision-making processes;
Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and industry best practices;
Make recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies;
Contribute to other financial accountings matters and ad-hoc financial projects;
