About you

We’re looking for an individual with strong balance of hard financial skills and strong leadership behavior. They will need to have full P&L and value chain understanding, be capable to anticipate and handle risks and opportunities and add new value from financial perspective. Strong eye for business, financial analytical thoroughness and outstanding business partner management are required. Handling ambiguity, organization and great interpersonal skills are critically important for the success in this role.

About the role:

This role supports the Pre-Mix portfolio, a $500MM NSV business across both Diageo Beer Company and US Spirits Business Divisions, with analysis, performance management, and strategic planning. It has high visibility across Marketing, Commercial and Finance leadership as well as with Global category teams, providing analytical insights to deliver a growth and share gains in the fastest growing segment of the industry.

Context/Scope:

Financial and strategic business partner for Pre-Mix brandsPlays a meaningful role in crafting the company's long-term sustainable growth strategy while also focusing on near term brand performanceProvides financial oversight of A&P brand budgetsSupervise current brand performance and key drivers of growthPartners with cross functional teams to model future brand performance and valuing potential growth and profitability driversRequires the individual to excel functionally and to build effective working relationships across the Commercial and Brand teams at all levels of the organizationDevelop financial scenarios and recommendations to advise new concept development and portfolio / investments prioritization decisions

Role Responsibilities:

Lead Portfolio Strategy process for Pre-Mix Brands, developing a framework, tools, templates, and analyses and develop insightsLead and drive building blocks and the financial elements of the annual brand planning process across Pre-Mix portfolioSupport performance management of brands, provide business insights, and develop scenario plansPartner with Brand teams to coordinate/prepare/facilitate brand plan reviewsAssess investment opportunities to ensure they align with overall strategy and financial targetsDrive portfolio price pack architecture and portfolio optimization initiativesTransform ideas that may range from market insights and competitor performance to creative investments and growth models into financial projectionsAct as a critical thought partner to the Marketing and Innovation Leadership Team, VP Marketing, and Finance Leadership

Key Interactions:

Annual brand plans and 3-year strategic planningInsightful business performance management analysis and generation of improvement opportunities during monthly brand performance reviewsProvide brand growth modeling, profitability analyses, and scenario planningFinancial reviews of recent acquisitions, providing evaluation against business case goals and recommendation of strategic decisionsAct as trusted business advisor in order to challenge and support the business to improve overall performance and develop in-market BPM capabilities.Finance business partners – provide proactive support and collaboration on delivery of end-to-end finance operating model to the business divisions.

Experience / skills required:

5+ years of relevant business experienceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. MBA or equivalent experience preferredFP&A, Brand Finance, Commercial Finance experienceCPG Experience preferredOutstanding analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skills with a validated ability to collaborate with various partners, build relationships, and influence across large matrix organizationCapacity to communicate sophisticated ideas in simple understandable termsAbility to balance strategy and drive to executionHigh energy and drive
