Finance Manager, Retail Business Services

Retail Business Services (RBS) Finance is seeking a high performing Finance Manager who will be a partner to senior leaders enabling Upstream Defect Elimination (UDE) initiatives directly impacting Amazon's costs, customer experience (CX) and Selling Partner experience (SPX). This critical role goes beyond the regular Finance controllership and reporting responsibilities, requires a self-starter with excellent financial modeling skills and a proven track record in developing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on complex operational initiatives. Key job responsibilities Provide financial guidance and support for UDE projects across multiple stakeholders Facilitate cross functional teams to Identify and prioritize defect elimination opportunities Develop and audit business case analyses include Return on Investment (ROI) framework Work with partner teams to establish and validate key financial performance indicators Develop reporting mechanism to monitor financial impacts of complex, multi-stakeholder projects Analyze and coordinate report on performance deviations Create and present executive-level financial reviews and business cases About the team Retail Business Services (RBS) team is dedicated to accelerating Amazon's flywheel by enhancing customer and brand experiences across worldwide Amazon stores while reducing operational costs. The RBS Finance team partners with RBS business leaders to ensure controllership, enable data-driven business decision-making, and be a critical part in setting the strategic direction for their groups. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results - Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel - Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
