Finance Manager , International Stores Finance - Headcount & Opex
The International Stores Finance (ISF) seeks a Financial Manager to support the continued expansion of our International Consumer business. While it’s always “Day 1” at Amazon, this is especially the case in the ISF, Headcount & OPEX team as we continue to grow our international business. This individual will responsible for working with dedicated marketplaces outside of North America, which include but are limited to the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Brazil, and are growing in footprint each year.

To support this rapidly expanding business, we are looking for the “next generation” of great Finance talent to collaborate with multiple Regional Finance and Business teams and assorted Corporate HQ teams to increase financial understanding, improve current processes, deliver overall results, work hard, have fun, and make history.

The successful candidate will be a self-starting contributor with effective finance and strong project management skills. This individual will manage complex projects and dive deep into the details when needed. This person will partner with finance and business leaders across several teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage short-term and long-term financial forecasting processes for the International Stores Finance organization. Develop mechanisms and reporting to increase visibility and create insights of regional outputs to International Stores Finance senior leadership.
- Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel
- Drive core financial processes for the International Consumer business including month end close, Annual Operating Plan, long range Strategic Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
- Complete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and deep dive on cost structures
- Drive accountability of financial plans/forecasts and comfortably challenge assumptions
- Drive standardization of planning/forecasting cycles across all International Stores regions as well as global program teams
- Partner closely with multiple regional finance leaders and FP&A organizations across the International Stores business to establish robust forecasting models and variance analysis.
- Drive performance by reinforcing and enhancing metrics through analytics and financial modelling
- Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives
- Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitability
