The Finance Manager for the Diagnostic Cardiology in Patient Care Solutions is responsible for providing strategic P&L and operational finance leadership to the businesses. The Finance Manager will serve as business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives & strategies, investment trade-offs, with an overall objective to drive global growth and profitability. Diagnostic Cardiology is a $330M global business that is a market leader in providing resting/stress ECG testing and selling digital solutions to enable ECG workflow management.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish long term strategy plans, operating plan, forecast for the business and help deliver financials and segment growth globally.
Partner with regions and operations to prioritize between New Product Introductions (NPI) & Installed Base (IB) projects, manage product cost spend, and identify cost productivity through all operational levers
Coordinate with regions to understand orders and sales risks for current quarter, establish future quarter product plans, maintain pricing discipline, and track New Product Introduction performance.
Provide leadership working with Business Development around partnerships, acquisitions, and external funding agreements
Work with manufacturing plants and Sourcing, in managing M6 (end of life) for the products and minimize on parts obsolescence. Manage phase-in & phase-out of products working with regions and communicate back to plants and sourcing to avoid excess inventory and drive margin accretion.
Develop reporting packages and presentations for monthly and quarterly senior leadership operation reviews / town halls.
Educate product managers on usage of reporting tools (ie Spotfire, Tableau) and help drive product pricing and product structure simplifications
Ensure operations use PPM tool effectively and drive standardization
Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification throughout the organization and to improve rigor while reducing costs & improving compliance and simplification
Ensure rigor around software cap and other funding credits for the segment and ensure US GAAP guidance and validate for impairment testing working with controllership.
Ensure compliance and controllership across financial transactions and ensure 100% account recs with no Schedule II's

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar concentration
A minimum of 6 years’ financial work experience, in increasingly more responsible positions.
Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)

Strong analytical skills: ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Experience leading in a global business environment; minimum of two years’ experience leading team members
Sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; ability to quickly grasp new ideas
Adaptable/Flexible: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position
