Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team in Hartford. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring compliance with organizational financial policies. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Prepare, review, and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records. • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate balance sheet management. • Evaluate vendor payments for accuracy and compliance with established policies. • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic business decisions. • Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial assets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. • Assist in developing financial reports and dashboards using tools like Excelsius. Requirements • Proven experience with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial analysis. • Familiarity with internal controls and their implementation in a corporate setting. • Proficiency in financial reporting and data visualization tools, such as Excelsius. • Ability to perform ad hoc analysis to support business objectives. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
