Mission of Role: Build a world class accounting team that implements and maintains financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems needed for successful planning and decision-making.

Reports to:   CFO

Direct Reports: 1 Accountant


Primary Areas of Responsibilities:   

· Accounting and Control - Develop and maintain policies and procedures over day-to-day transactions that incorporate sufficient internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting 

· Monthly Closing -  Setup and monitor the tasks and timetable required for a timely closing 

· Forecast, Budget and Plan – Perform additional cost reporting and forecasting as required by management. 

· Financial Analysis – Provide analysis of monthly financial statement activity & special projects 

· Financial Reporting – Maintain accurate and timely GAAP books that provide useful and actionable Management Information 

· Tax and Audit Compliance – Interface with outside auditors, tax preparers, and advisers, and provide all schedules and data needed for timely compliance with reporting deadlines. 

· Accounting interface of ERP and MRP systems 

· Staff Supervision – Hire, train, monitor and evaluate accounting staff 


Success Indicators:

· Timely distribution of monthly and year-end financial statements and analyses

· High data integrity, evidenced by minimal year-end audit adjustments

· Reports and analyses that facilitate financial and operational decision-making


Requirements

 Preferred Experience & Education:

· 5 years minimum experience in finance – Big 4 experience preferred

· Thorough knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting rules 

· Degree in Finance or Accounting; Accounting or Finance Certification

· Cost accounting experience in manufacturing

· Expert level with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and other financial planning systems

· Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

· Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent report-writing and communication skills.


Ideal Experience: 

To ensure success, the finance manager have a deep commercial awareness, strong numeracy skills, and a 

keen interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of an organization. Top candidates will have outstanding 

communication and report writing skills with superb technical ability and fantastic negotiation skills 

preferably in General Aviation or automotive production industry.
