The role you’ll contribute:
The Finance Manager is responsible for preparation and review of monthly financial statements and various financial reports. As a member of the financial services team, the Finance Manager collaborates with administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment. Other areas of responsibility and focus include pro forma development, balance sheet management, and annual tax preparation.

· Serves as a resource to other departments, managers and others within the system on accounting issues. Provides periodic training on finance-related issues, such as analysis and budgeting.
· Verifies all documents and spreadsheets for accuracy before distribution.
· Administers safeguards to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, audit workpapers, fixed asset records and departmental statistics.
· Oversees cash handling over the hospital as a whole, conducting cash audits and ensuring locations handling cash are following appropriate procedures.
· Reconciles and reviews balance sheet accounts to ensure consistency, accuracy and validity
· Maximizes the use of all resources in a cost-effective manner.
· Works with administration to track expenses and areas of improvement.
· Assists managers with department financial analysis, proforma, and budget preparation.
· Reviews quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
· Regularly monitors performance compared to budget.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Advanced level of proficiency in the use of personal computers and all Microsoft Office products.
· Advanced knowledge of General Ledger systems.
· General knowledge of AH accounting processes, policies and systems.
· Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Ability and willingness to work a flexible or extended workweek to ensure completion of project deadlines.
· Ability and willingness to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
· Ability and willingness to mentor and coach other staff members.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· Minimum five years’ Accounting experience, with two years in Healthcare
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Master’s degree
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Driver’s license
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· CPA certification
