Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of VS12 and its global companies. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating financial activities with the management team, ensuring accurate reporting, proper budgeting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s goals.

The Finance Manager leads the Money Matters (Accounting) team. They handle performance management, task delegation, and conflict resolutions. They also set clear goals and expectations for the team members and align their work with the company’s financial objectives.

What you'll do

Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for the organization Review financial reports and advise corrective action accordingly Analyze overall financial performance and variances against the budget to ensure company profitability Provide recommendations to the management that aim to improve financial performance Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal and external (e.g. government) regulations Manage and oversee audits and tax filings Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit, operational, and market risks Support the management team in strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial data backed up with analysis and projections Work closely with the People & Culture team on hiring needs and manpower forecast Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing candidates and making hiring decisions Oversee the onboarding process for new hires and ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities Establish performance objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all team members Conduct regular performance reviews to assess progress of team members and provide valuable feedback for continuous improvement Identify and address any performance issues or conflicts within the team Assess training needs of team members and provide learning opportunities Delegate responsibilities and projects according to team members’ skills and workloads Oversee the progress of tasks and provide guidance as needed Recognize and develop potential future leaders within the Money Matters team Plan and manage transitions to ensure that the team remains stable and effective should there be employee attrition and/or changes in organizational structure
