Finance Manager DACH/Eastern Europe (m/f/d)
Reporting to EMEA Head of Accounting the Senior Manager Finance DACH-EE will be responsible for all financial aspects of the legal entities of Dematic in Germany, collaborating with an EMEA wide team covering Accounting,, Reporting and Internal Controls / Compliance as a core focus, with strong interaction to Controlling, FP&A and Taxes well as overseeing areas like Travel Management & Facility Management with the corresponding teams. Working in a dynamic EMEA and Global environment and being able to adapt to new requirements as well as structuring and bringing forward the finance related matters of the company and being a finance business partner to the management team.

Tasks and Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:Leadership of all financial related aspects of the German Dematic entities (Dematic GmbH, Dematic Services GmbH & Dematic Logistics GmbH) and act as financial adviser for local managing director and other management functions, locally and in the matrix organization.Manage the implementation of new accounting standards within the entities and ensure compliance with local HGB accounting and Group IFRS accounting standards.Responsible for the reporting into the group consolidation tool(s), supporting internal and external reporting and ensure deliverables provided in the right quality and in time, partly in collaboration with the central finance team supporting this processSupport and drive smooth and transparent financial closing activities, month-end, quarter-end and year-end, experienced in IFRS and HGB. Constant review and improvement of closing activities and roadmap to support the fast close process.Lead the preparation of the German and branch statutory accounts with the accounting team and external partners for branches.Key contact person and coordinator with external auditors to enable and drive a smooth and successful closing. Orchestrating the financial audit procedures within the company and PbC requirements in accounting and with other Finance and Business functions which are contributing.Establish and improve accounting papers, explaining company practice and alignment with Group guidance with the business and overseeing and supporting areas like Travel Management and Facility Management as well as being the Internal Controls and Compliance representative for the German Dematic Entities.Provide full support to financial systems development and close cooperation with the Finance Center of Excellence in Krakow for AP/AR and Reporting; support teams across the local and EMEA/Global functions.Direct management of the local accounting team as well as travel management and facility management team and strong collaboration with other functions, especially Controlling, FP&A, Tax and the Finance Center of Excellence (shared service Team) in Krakow Poland for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions as well as reporting and general finance supportResponsible for the Liquidity Forecast / Cash Flow Forecast for the german entities in close collaboration with the Controlling Teams, the AP/AR Team in the Finance COE as well as other contributing functions like Tax, HR, etc.Ensuring VAT & Tax compliance together with the Tax Team, support regarding Tax Audits and partnering for DACH/EE tax compliance management (CIT, VAT, permanent establishments)Supervision of the adherence in the German Entities of the Company’s Internal Control Processes, direct responsibility for all financial internal controls for the German Entities / branches and being the representative for the entities and partner for the other control owners in the business to drive overall improvement of the internal controls system. Overseeing and driving the yearly Internal Controls self-assessment process.Support on other ad hoc technical accounting projects and Prepare ad hoc financial reports at the request of management.

Skills/ qualifications:Financial degree / Qualified accountant – ACA; ACCAGood technical understanding of IFRS and FX contracts.Knowledge in POC Accounting is helpful as well as good working knowledge of Contract Management principles, capital project accounting and controlling.Strong financial business background, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel Skills are a must.Significant related experience, including managing a team locally and collaborate cross-functional and internationally. Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking and attention to detail.Process focused with the ability to drive for results in a matrix environment.Ability to define, implement, and adhere to policies and procedures.Previous experience in a publicly traded company is welcome.Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with the ability to think independently.Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.Knowledge reporting/consolidation tool a plus (e.g. Oracle).
