Students of Milton Hershey School are direct beneficiaries of The Hershey Company's success. * Principal Accountabilities* This position reports into the Sr. Manager Marketing Finance/FP&A, will be responsible for being a key contributor to execute Hershey’s strategy for growth and margin improvement through innovation, portfolio rationalization. The Marketing Finance Manager will partner with the Marketing organization to provide financial guidance and analytics to support key decisions, drive growth and ensure financial objectives are achieved. The Marketing Finance Manager will be the key contact for all Financial Planning and Analysis for their relevant Marketing teams. This includes understanding all financial aspects of the P&L, variance analysis, data consolidation and special projects. * The scope and nature of the responsibilities include the following:* * Leads Strategic Portfolio management (Innovation and Discontinuation processes). Develops accurate P&Ls, makes recommendations and challenges different complex business cases. Ensures all brands are financially sound, aligned to strategy and maximizing growth, margin and profit. * Responsible for budget management for brand investments and SG&A. Leads business partners investing choices and optimized allocation of resources. Performs monthly tracking, provides sound business commentaries, and completes monthly LE processes. * Leads the preparation and presentation of monthly P&Ls to the Marketing teams and the Finance group. Draw insights and make recommendations to business partners on opportunities for improvement. Understands key financial components of variances and can explain key drivers for material changes in the financial results. * Take ownership of identifying incremental risks and opportunities (versus the forecast/plan) and support Marketing team in efforts to close any gaps to plan. * Develop and maintain analytical tools, modeling, and processes to support a deeper level of analysis to achieve targeted financial results. * Develop relationships with cross-functional partners and key central services groups * Lead other special projects and ad hoc reporting as required. * Skills, Knowledge and Education Requirements:* * 8+ years of CPG or similar industry experience in financial analysis, financial business partnering or consultancy preferred but not mandatory * Solid understanding and familiarity of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals, and ability to translate numbers into insights and drive commercial stories. * Ability to independently arrive at insights and develop creative solutions to solve complex business problems * Demonstrated experience in effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge. * Effective communicator to various groups of audience (upper management, cross-functional’s) * Solid understanding and familiarity of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals * Ability to multi-task and excel in an exciting and fast paced environment * An individual who is curious, approachable, passionate and enjoys finding solutions. * Solid understanding and familiarity of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals, and ability to translate numbers into insights and drive commercial stories. * Undergraduate business, math (or related discipline) degree, MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience. * Benefits and Perks of Working at Hershey Canada*: * Health and Wellness Reimbursement program as well as other great employee benefits. * Corporate social responsibility programs - because we should leave the world a little better than we found it. * Fantastic reward and recognition programs. * Flexible work environment.
