Job Overview: The Finance Manager for Corporate Real Estate and Facilities will head the financial aspect of the company's global real estate portfolio, facility management, and related services. They are responsible for overseeing budget development, financial reporting, cost management, rent and lease payments, and financial forecasting related to the corporate real estate holdings and facilities operations. This role involves close interaction with senior leadership, facility managers, and external stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the financial operations for the global corporate real estate and facilities departments.Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for real estate acquisitions, facility operations, lease agreements, and maintenance activities.Coordinate timely payments for rents, leases, property taxes, service charges, and other real estate-related financial obligations.Establish strong financial controls and governance to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.Work closely with legal and real estate teams to negotiate financial terms for leases, purchases, and disposals.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts relating to real estate and facilities.Analyze and present financial data to support strategic decision-making and report on variances.Drive cost savings and optimization strategies within real estate and facilities spending.Collaborate with procurement to manage vendor contracts and ensure the cost-effective allocation of facilities services.Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiencies and reporting capabilities.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial management, with specific expertise in corporate real estate and facilities operations at a global level.Comprehensive understanding of real estate financial concepts, strategic planning, and accounting principles.Proven track record in developing and managing large-scale budgets and conducting financial analysis.Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing high-performing teams.Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with complex data.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in financial software systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and standard office applications.Preferred Skills:
Advanced understanding of lease accounting standards (ASC 842/IFRS 16) and their impact on corporate finances.Experience in the implementation of financial systems and software relating to real estate and facilities management.Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and their financial implications on real estate operations.Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job
