Finance Master Data Governance Sr Analyst

Job Description:

As a Finance Master Data Governance Sr Analyst, you will act as a dedicated specialist with high proficiency in the Finance Master Data Domain (ex: Profit Center, Cost Center, Internal Order, Chart of Accounts, Intercompany Business Partners, etc) to support activities ensuring adherence to Mars data standards, data models, governance policies as well as data lifecycle policies. You will work under the guidance & leadership of the Finance Data Champions within the Finance Master Data Governance Team to support global data initiatives, implementing & driving adoption of master data governance principles within the regions & markets.What are we looking for?

5+ years of functional work experience in Data Governance frameworks and best practices with understanding of financial statements and accounting principles and how master data affects business processes across a large ecosystem.

Highly proficient and experienced (5+ years) with SAP Finance Master Data elements (such as Profit Center, Cost Center, Internal Order, Chart of Accounts, ICB), including tables, physical data models, and data management tools. Experience with SAP S4, SAP MDG and integrated environments a plus. 

Experienced and capable of envisioning, modeling and designing to optimize complex business processes. Ability to work with and/or lead the right partners to bring those improvements to actionable plans through deployment.

Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work cross functionally, managing relationships with varied stakeholders.

Delivery oriented – ability to analyze and find solutions, change approach when deadlines or dependencies change.

Experienced in Project Management principles and working through project lifecycle

Deals with Ambiguity – ability to operate in rapidly changing project environment and navigate uncertainties

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Fluent in spoken and written English, any additional language is an advantage

Ability to travel flexibly globally (up to 1 week every 2-3 months)

What will be your key responsibilities?

Actively participate in change management and process improvement initiatives to maximize and deliver value through tools and systems, including end-to-end deployment activities such as translating requirements, validating/testing, documentation, training and signoffs.

Provide business project support on behalf of Finance Master Data Governance team, consulting with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and support implementation of Master Data by reviewing key inputs/deliverables to ensure the Finance Data Model, Standards and Governance policies/procedures are adhered to, delivering high quality master data for the Ecosystem (example: ERP system integrations/migrations, new Company Code deployments, Business Transformation initiatives).

Follow and champion project management principles: maintain project plans, follow RAID processes, document Roles & Responsibilities, define goals & outcomes etc.

Assist in the creation, maintenance, and validation of master data records for financial systems.

Own and deliver approved small / medium size projects to deploy or improve Finance Data quality with business units in collaboration with Data Council members.

Document and educate Finance and non-finance community members on the definitions, conceptual, logical and physical data models of the Finance Master data elements (ex: Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Order, Chart of Accounts, ICB).

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee’s work schedule).  Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee’s work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
