Key Responsibilities:

Financial information review according to WVI , donors and government policies and guidelines / requirementsEnsure the team follows all key administrative and financial guidelines, procurement policies and procedures of the organizationEnsure accuracy and compliance for all expenditure as per WV financial standardMaintain checklist of documents  for payment to employee (advance/reimbursement/ settlement/ travel/ benefit ) and suppliersEnsure the proper document attach that verify transaction before payment.Track financial transactions (payment tracker) and suppliersManage and make payment to suppliers / Staffs on time ( Max 3 days)Ensure timely funds transferred for the program implementation in area program.Ensure and make payment of the regular type of expenses on time – Internet, telephone, rent, fuel,  Timely share information about payment status to stakeholdersPrepare appropriate vouchers (BT,CV,DV & JV)  ensuring accurate accounting codes as per chart of accountHold all the financial information into sun systemMonthly update with PHA Public Health Services team and addressing the gaps Identify and the challenges.All confidential and important documents should be under lock and key.Compliance with retention of documents policy of WVI and donor’s rules/regulations.Be attentive to new initiatives and get into for implementation in coordination with finance team.Participate and support to standardize different financial process considering integrationSupport to non-finance staff for WV financial policy, standard and requirement & PHA Cash Advance PolicyProvide basic orientation on finance and internal control system to new finance and non-finance staffSupport to extract financial information and share to others- such as payment , tax , advance, receivable , payableSupport for reconciliation of different balance sheet accountsIncreasing demonstration and understanding of and commitment to WV’s core value in approach to work and relationship.Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with appropriate content, views and suggestions.Grab opportunities to participate in events (workshop/training) and learn about diverse subject areas and our range of stakeholders.Performance review completed and development goal achieved.Ensure that there should be reduced non value adding activities from the different financial activitiesIncreased cost saving contributes to increase in yield to community (Increased cost saving trend in the different activities)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting or Equivalent. Intermediate of Commerce, Business Studies or EquivalentMinimum 2 years of experience in independently handling Finance and accounts preferably within NGO sector.General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Practical knowledge of NGO account payable, payment, accounting, project budgeting, reportingExcellent computer literacy & skill of MS office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/internet etc.)Good interpersonal skillsDemonstrated Mentoring, Orientation & Training SkillGood interpersonal, problem solving & time management skills
