The opportunity
The Finance Officer will be mainly responsible for accounting and management, tax and audit reporting. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all financial records are maintained according to prescribed company policies and procedures and in conformity with regulatory requirements and accounting standards and internal controls of the Company.
Responsibilities
Cash Management: Monitor cash balances across various bank accounts and ensure the timely processing of bank fund transfers and payment instructions.Treasury Operations: Manage treasury documentation requirements, coordinate bank arrangements, and oversee online banking enrollments.Tax Compliance: Handle local BIR tax obligations, including tax computations, documentation, and filings.Financial Reporting: Prepare management, tax, and audit reports as required.Financial Analysis and Accounting Processes: Assist in variance analysis and respond to management inquiries related to accounting information. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules, supporting both the month-end and quarter-end close processes.Outsourced Functions Oversight: Supervise functions outsourced to teams supporting the finance function. Coordinate with various accounting and other teams across Manulife in the country and region to foster collaboration and ensure seamless financial operations.Regulatory and Policy Compliance: Ensure all financial records are maintained according to company policies, regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.Support to Head of Finance: Assist the Head of Finance in ensuring all tasks related to MIMPH Finance are completed according to standards, with proper internal controls, and that all relevant policies and procedures are documented and followed.Additional Duties: Perform other duties and work assignments, ensuring timely completion as per assigned deadlines.How will you create impact?

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA certification is required.Preferably with exposure to tax compliance, documentation, and filings.Over 4 years of experience in finance or audit, demonstrating a solid track record in these areas.Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Macros and Python is an advantage.Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.Able to encourage and drive change within a highly dynamic and fluid environment. Comfortable challenging traditional processes to identify and implement efficiencies.Capable of cross-leveraging skills among team members to collectively achieve the best outcomes. A good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple levels of the organization.What can we offer you?
