Zurich North America is seeking a Finance & Operations Analyst to join SpearTip, the Cyber segment of Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS).This is an excellent opportunity to join and support our in-house team of Cyber Risk Management specialists who provide objective assessments of businesses’ cybersecurity posture and unique threat environment, with consultative support to strengthen overall cyber resilience.
SpearTip has been providing cyber risk mitigation services for nearly 20 years and was acquired by Zurich in August of 2023. SpearTip delivers three main service offerings,Managed Detection and Response/Security Operations Center Service, Incident Response including Digital Forensics as well as Advisory Services, including underwriting insights support. Our team of Cyber Security experts helps customers mitigate risk byidentifying their cyber risks and vulnerabilities in a continuously changing cyber landscape.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team with overall responsibility for providing strategic and operations finance support and insights into underlying performance and implications within the Cyber business space. Also, this team member will collaborate with ZRS, Zurich Finance and the business to deliver on their goals.
A successful candidate will have extensive experience using their technical and analytical skillset to solve business problems, have excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial results into easily understandable concepts. The ideal candidate will be Excel savvy, have forecasting/modeling experience with the ability to support a growing business.
Note: This hybrid role may report into our Schaumburg/Chicago or St Louis, MO office.
Key Accountabilities:
+ Support the annual budget/plan and regular forecast process through close work with the leadership team and the business to ensure outputs are robust and completed in a timely manner
+ Provide deep and detailed financial analysis on various aspects of business performance in order to support the development and delivery of business strategy.
+ Utilize knowledge of SAP and Coupa to be an active partner and help set up new vendors and troubleshoot, when necessary
+ Serve as a key point of contact for the business for moderate to complex financial queries, providing a conduit between finance and the business unit and support functions as required.
+ Provide financial advice, where needed, for the business to support the development and tracking of initiatives such as new business opportunities and technical upgrades.
+ Develop a wide knowledge of relevant segments to act as a subject matter expert for any queries relating to financial performance.
+ Support day-to-day operations of the Cyber business segment.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Financial Analysis and Reporting areaOR
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Financial Analysis and Reporting areaOR
+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance areaAND
+ Knowledge of financial debt collections and procedures
+ Knowledge of Accounting standards and practice
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong verbal and written communication shills
+ Insurance industry experience
+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills
