Finance Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Operations Manager works closely with BrassCraft’s Plant Operations Team and Operations Controller to provide accounting, monitoring, and analytical support in the achievement of financial objectives. Specific areas of responsibility include the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, analysis and interpretation of trends for management's attention, and preparation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management.
This role will require strong analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset as they work collaboratively across many areas of the organization to build relationships and assist in forward thinking.
This is a primarily onsite role based out of our Lancaster, TX Plant.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages and supports the monthly forecast, annual operating planning, and plant performance in relation is business objectives.Assists in monthly end close activities and business partner with plant management to explain results, trends and identify actions. Leads monthly analysis and review of plant operations - Headcount, overtime, production output, productivity, yields, etc. Collaborates cross-functionally and assists with the build of yearly Standard Costs calculations and files. Analyze core accounts and key performance indicators. Be a thought leader and provide insights on achievement of improved cost and operational efficiencies. Evaluates and recommends changes in the company’s cost structure, as appropriate. Performs deep dives and analyses on manufacturing variances and PPV. Drive make vs buy analysis from finance side. Develops financial reporting and analytical tools to assist in daily operations. Lead monthly tracking and monitoring of capital spending against budget. Compile and analyze financial reports that indicate trends, variances inventories. Assist in monitoring, performing, and testing of Internal Controls.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 4 years of costing and operations experience Excellent problem solving, issue identification, and analytical skills Able to work independently Critical thinker who enjoys working as part of collaborative teamExcellent communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies Advanced Excel Skills Ability to travel up to 15%-25%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
