Key Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Operations team exists to manage the operational matters of the Corporate Accounting team to ensure that processes are standardized and fit-for purpose across all locations of the Global Centre, including Regional Offices.

The role is responsible for supervising staff to implement effective operations of the Corporate Accounting team. This includes:

Support the onboarding of Global Centre and its Regional Offices to the processes and operations of the Corporate Accounting, ensuring the single general ledger processes are standardized, fit-for-purpose and adopted across all locations.

Supervise the financial reporting and compliance related matters of the local Global Centre and Regional Office locations, including Philippines and Malaysia.

Supervise the expense reimbursement and accounts payable processes of the GCKL and GCMO locations.

Identifying gaps in existing global finance policies and procedures and drive changes to finance policies and procedures to enhance practice in the Global Centre and Regional Offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the integration and alignment of Global Centre and Regional
Office locations with agreed finance processes

Support the onboarding of Global Centre and Regional Offices to the single general ledger.

Implement a setup that is fit-for-purpose and standardized.

Support the alignment of business processes across locations to the agreed global processes.

Develop and deliver training for staff to ensure everyone is clear on their accountabilities and responsibilities.

Support the relationship between Corporate Accounting and Shared Services, ensuring issues are resolved and improvement opportunities are implemented on a timely basis.

Finance operations for agreed Global Centre locations

Research and provide recommendations to manager regarding financial operational matters in relation to the GCMO and GCKL locations.

Supervise the expense reimbursement and accounts payable processes for the GCMO and GCKL locations, including review of pay runs.

Prepare local statutory reporting and compliance reporting requirements for GCKL, GCMO and other locations as agreed.

Manage staff to perform bank reconciliations for all GC and RO locations in the single Global Centre general ledger, to ensure segregation of duties.

Supervise the finance and accounting processes for fixed assets.

Supervise the maintenance of team pages on WV Central to ensure communications to the Partnership via this platform are up to date.

Supervise the Help Desk function for the Corporate Accounting
team.

Continuously improve processes and practices with a customer
focused mindset

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

With the Finance Operations Manager, lead process improvement initiatives and oversee smaller initiatives driven by staff.

Seek opportunities for automation, improvements in quality and efficiency by utilizing technology (which may include but is not limited to Power BI, MS form, PowerApps, Sharepoint, Smartsheet, UI Path etc.).

Remain current and increase knowledge in related finance areas utilizing self-study and/or continuing professional education efforts.

Staff management

Other tasks as requested by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Has minimum of four years of experience in finance and accounting role.

At least two years from a public accounting firm strongly desired.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent.

Accredited with CPA, Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent professional accounting body.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

Demonstrates effective computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, intranet and Internet, and various software applications and databases used in work efforts.

Experience in building reporting and utilizing data models in PowerBI or similar software to a proficient level.
