Finance PM" (Project Manager) would be leading and overseeing projects related to the management of federal government finances, including tasks like developing and implementing new financial systems, streamlining payment processes, managing cash flow, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with other agencies to optimize financial operations, all while focusing on project delivery within budget and timelines.
Key responsibilities may include:
+ **Project planning and execution:** Defining project scope, developing detailed work plans, assigning tasks, managing timelines, and tracking progress against key milestones for initiatives related to financial systems, payment processing, or debt management.
+ **Financial analysis and reporting:** Monitoring financial performance, analyzing data to identify trends and risks, preparing financial reports for senior management, and ensuring compliance with government accounting standards.
+ **Stakeholder management:** Collaborating with various federal agencies, internal teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure project alignment with broader fiscal goals.
+ **System implementation:** Overseeing the implementation of new financial management systems, including testing, data migration, user training, and change management.
+ **Risk management:** Identifying potential risks associated with financial projects, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring compliance with internal controls.
+ **Budget management:** Developing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and managing cost variances to ensure projects stay within allocated funds.
Required skills and experience:
+ Strong understanding of federal government financial management practices, including accounting standards and regulations.
+ Proven project management skills with experience leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
+ Expertise in financial analysis, data interpretation, and reporting.
+ Experience with financial management systems and software.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
+ PMP Certification
Specific areas of focus could include:
+ **Cash management:** Optimizing the government's cash flow by managing Treasury accounts, forecasting cash needs, and improving payment processes.
+ **Debt management:** Overseeing the issuance and servicing of government debt instruments.
+ **Financial reporting:** Developing and implementing standardized financial reporting processes to provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
+ **System modernization:** Leading initiatives to upgrade legacy financial systems with new technology to improve efficiency and data integrity.
**Position Details:**
+ Pay Rate / Range: **$50/hr- 60/hr**
