Finance & Position Management Analyst - Technology - Finance & Administration

What’s the role?

At Bloomberg Engineering & CTO Finance, we are committed to providing extraordinary support to our business partners in Engineering, CTO, and the wider finance communities. Our activities include financial strategy, planning, management and reporting on all operating expenses, capital expenses, and people resources.  As a critical member of the Engineering & CTO Finance group, you will have the opportunity to deliver a unique blend of financial and operational reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate must be detailed-oriented, motivated and possess excellent analytical, technical, financial, and operational acumen.

As a Finance and Position Management Analyst, you will use corporate tools like Workday and our internal department-wide system of record to review, manage, and administer position changes, as well as to support various organizational projects, analytics and priorities. 

Working hands-on with key stakeholders, you'll educate and train Engineering Team Leads on self-service tools and sharing best practices to influence business and process improvements for headcount management.  You’ll have the opportunity to build a network across the different Engineering departments, recruiting, and Human Resources.

You will also be an advocate for process improvement, providing insights through your comprehensive and impactful involvement in all aspects of Engineering headcount related activity and taking ownership for the management and improvement of processes that directly impact Position Management, data accuracy and governance.

We’ll trust you to:

Support the financial reporting, analysis, and planning process for the Technology organizationPerform position management by reviewing and processing transactions and working with HR and business stakeholdersParticipate in monthly close activitiesParticipate, on an ongoing basis, in special projects sponsored by senior managementWork collaboratively across business, finance, human resource and other teams involvedEnsure data integrity, quality, and effectiveness in all work outputs Acquire detailed understanding of processes, systems, and business unit structures Ensure controls are in place to minimize/eliminate gaps in the reporting of headcount and financials Develop and evolve on insightful financial and operational dashboards and reporting packages and other presentations to CFO community and/or Senior Management Identifying opportunities to drive efficiency in internal processesNetwork and collaborate effectively across functions/teams to produce results


 
You’ll need to have:

3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance or organization managementBachelor’s degree required (preferably in accounting, finance, or a related field of study) Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals, financial management and/or position managementHigh attention to detailDemonstrated competency with advanced Excel modeling and large datasetsUse of common applications such as MS suite, Qlik, SAP-EPM/BPC/AO, Alteryx etc. with hands-on ability to implement change Ability to handle confidential information professionally and appropriatelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range = 85000 - 120000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
