Job Title: Private Equity Finance – Operations, AVP
Job Description:
The Private Equity Finance – Operations group is responsible for all aspects of fund administration operations related to Blackstone’s private equity funds. Additionally, the group supports the private equity deal teams and internal marketing groups.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Work closely with deal teams/fund counsel/tax advisors and portfolio company (“PC”) management on investment transactions and supportLiaise with the fund accountants on deal transaction accounting for GAAP F/SManage the investment closing/sale funds flow process alongside the deal teamsManage responsibilities and assignments delegated to the junior NY or offshore teamsReview of capital call and distribution memosPrepare/review of internal reporting to COO, CFO and Head of Finance on fund metrics and dry powder schedulesLiaise with investorsForecasting PC cash-flow and fund capital call needsReading and interpreting LPAsMonitor fund LPA limit and deal certificate complianceManage capacity on the funds’ credit lines as well as borrowing base compliance/covenantsOversee the creation and maintenance of fund and investment structure charts and KYC/AML lettersManage custody with 3rd party vendor, share/stock reconciliation and proxy voting process for fund investmentsLiaise with external and internal auditorsManage the expense process and compliance with LPA and firm policiesWork with technology team to improve automation/reporting of manual processesAssist with special projects and internal ad hoc requests as neededQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferred5+ years of public accounting, private equity fund accounting, or private equity fund operations experienceStrong technical accounting skillsStrong analytical and organizational skillsDetail orientedAbility to work in a dynamic professional environment and handle multiple projects and deadlinesAbility to build relationships and communicate effectively across multiple levels, functions and regionsEffectively work and communicate with members of the team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient, accurate and thorough mannerDesire to implement process improvement opportunitiesA self-starter with the ability to work autonomouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $185,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
