**Job Purpose:**
An **Indirect Tax Specialist** is an important and valuable part of Grundfos Group Tax team. The **Indirect Tax team** located in Denmark and Hungary **is the overall responsible** for all end-to-end Indirect tax activities for Grundfos companies globally. An important part of this is to ensure timely submission of compliant VAT returns and other indirect tax returns in good quality.
_Please be advised that we have two job openings with different levels of seniority. During the selection process, we will evaluate each candidate's suitability for the respective positions accordingly._
**Your tasks will be:**
+ Perform checks and analyze transactions to ensure the quality of the VAT data, including VAT reconciliation.
+ Preparation of ITX returns (VAT, EC Sales List, Intrastat, and other Indirect tax related reporting) extract and analysis of accounting data for tax purposes.
+ VAT clearing process.
+ Manage Indirect Tax GL recon, open items, and error corrections.
+ Quality control checks of postings, invoices, and correct usage of tax codes
+ Initiate VAT payments and follow-up on VAT credits / refunds
+ Participate in projects to stabilize and improve and automate Indirect tax processes.
+ Advising colleagues within Finance regarding VAT compliance
+ Update of company work instructions and guidelines for Indirect tax reporting.
+ Perform ad hoc administrative tasks related to indirect tax.
+ Support with data/documents during audits / requests from tax authorities.
**Your background:**
+ University or college degree in finance, accounting, audit or equivalent
+ At least 1-4 years relevant work experience within indirect tax area
+ Fluent English knowledge (another European language knowledge can be an advantage)
+ Good SAP and MS Excel skills and general accounting knowledge
+ Experience with Balance Sheet reconciliation.
+ Knowledge of best practices and relevant systems in finance
+ Systematic and quality-oriented way of working
+ Flexibility and capacity to work in a time-sensitive setting regarding function and time.
+ Can do mentality, problem solving attitude, no blame culture.
+ Accuracy and teamwork
+ Ability to work against tight deadlines.
