Finance - Revenue Auditor - 4, 10 Hour Shift

SUMMARY:

Grand Sierra Resort and casino is looking for a skilled Revenue Auditor to join the Finance team. As Revenue Auditor, you will ensure accurate completion of audits with requirements set forth.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Must have the ability to comprehend the InfoGenesis POS system and the interrelationships between systems that are used in non-gaming revenue audit. Be able to work with Infinium, the accounting module, as well as Stratton Warren, GSR’s inventory module after training is completed. Verify validity of figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Conduct scheduled daily audits according to casino, F&B, retail, and support ops SOPs. Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. Receive, record, and audit all food/beverage/hotel cash turn in slips and reconcile to supporting system reports. Comply with federal, Nevada State, and GSR company policies, procedures, and regulations. Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports, and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, variances, and profits and losses. Balance Cash on Hand, Credit Cards, Room Charges, and Comps on a daily/monthly/yearly basis. Verify Comp Suspense accuracy on a daily/monthly/yearly basis. Update weekly entertainment schedule and verify accuracy. Balance gift cards on a daily basis in preparation for monthly posting. Reconcile Ticketmaster ticket sales on a daily and monthly basis. Audit guest comp postings on a daily basis. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in audits through exception reporting system. Closely work with all employee levels communicating areas of noncompliance and any other issues that may arise. Communicating any suspicious activity noted during audits to proper management. Potential to communicate with NGCB on all food/beverage/hotel related matters. Performs other various duties as required and/or assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze non-gaming information. Possess good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Excel at an advanced beginner level to perform math operations and formulas. Maintain, and create if necessary, non-gaming revenue audit spreadsheets to ensure proper linkage on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Operate 10-key calculators, computers, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce required reports.

 EDUCATION:

Permit to work in the United States. Must possess a High School diploma. Associate’s Degree in a business related field is preferred.

 OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a current, valid driver’s license.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. Attend and participate in meetings in order to be informed of new rules, regulations and procedures and to discuss scheduling and/or other concerns of the Hotel and/or department. In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of functions to be determined based upon the particular needs of the Hotel.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
