RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As Finance Specialist, FP&A for the Restructuring Service Line, you will report to the Director, FP&A and be a member of the Global FP&A Team. A significant portion of the role will involve working closely with the Global Restructuring Senior Leadership team and ensuring that their needs are met. In the role of Finance Specialist, FP&A, you will be responsible for delivering targets, driving accountability, and supporting the business. Key areas include forecasting and budgeting, analyzing results and providing commentary, preparing presentations, monthly/quarterly reports, and performing detailed analysis. In addition to these areas, you will be collaborating closely with the reporting team.


The ideal candidate for this role has at least 3 years’ of expertise working in an FP&A role in a Professional Services organization. The candidate is an organised, experienced and dedicated finance professional who can work with large volumes of data and deal with complexities within financial modeling and scenario analysis. The candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills and has demonstrated experience collaborating with various functional teams (Corporate Accounting, Billing, Payroll, HR etc.)

 

This is a one-year contract position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Analyzes complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposesInvestigate and drill down on financial issues and variancesCollaborates, questions, and challenges budget owners on forecasts, headcount and utilization.Compiles, prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, presentations, budgets and operating plansDevelops, monitors and reports on business performance metrics.Analyzes business cases and prepares scenario analysisEngages in ad-hoc financial analysis, including special projects as neededPrepares presentations in support of monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees, as neededUnderstands the workings of the ERP system and has the ability to investigate issues and drive solutions.Supports month-end/year-end and financial audits as needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Charted Financial Analyst candidate preferred.A minimum of 3 years of related finance and management experienceAn understanding of corporate finance concepts and FP&A best practices, including modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI trackingStrong quantitative and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and proficiency in building and handling complicated data setsDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present results highlighting the broader commercial and strategic impactExperience in a professional services firm is strongly desiredImmediate available candidate is preferred
