JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Strategy Consultant to drive strategic transformation within our finance function. This role will be pivotal in identifying and implementing innovative solutions to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver exceptional value. You will be a key partner to finance leadership, working collaboratively to define and execute a comprehensive portfolio and roadmap.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute the innovation strategy for each finance function: This includes developing a deep understanding of each function (e.g., FP&A, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury), identifying key pain points, and proposing innovative solutions leveraging technology, process re-engineering, and best practices.Build and maintain strong relationships with finance functional leaders: Act as a trusted advisor and partner, understanding their business priorities and aligning innovation initiatives accordingly. Facilitate communication and collaboration across the finance organization.Prioritize innovation projects: Develop a prioritized roadmap of innovation projects based on strategic alignment, potential impact, feasibility, and resource availability. Effectively manage project timelines and resources.Conduct best practice research and competitive analysis: Continuously research industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the finance function. Stay abreast of relevant regulatory changes and their impact on finance operations. Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies: Proactively identify and assess emerging technologies and best practices relevant to finance functions. Actively participate in industry events and conferences.Develop and present compelling business cases: Articulate the value proposition of innovation initiatives to finance leadership and senior management, securing buy-in and securing necessary resources.Lead and manage cross-functional teams: Collaborate with IT, operations, project management, and other relevant departments to implement and support innovation projects.Measure and report on the impact of innovation initiatives: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate the value delivered by implemented solutions. Regularly report progress to stakeholders.

EDUCATION

Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Information Systems, or related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE

Required

5 - 7 years in Finance and Accounting of Information Systems, or 3+ years in Finance Transformation in a Management Consulting Firm to include:1 - 3 years in Project Management or Program Management0 - 1 years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Consulting

Preferred

10+ years of experience in a finance function, with a proven track record of driving innovation and process improvement.1 - 3 years in Business Process DesignDemonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, presentation, data-visualization and interpersonal skills.Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.Experience with relevant finance technologies (e.g., ERP systems, RPA, AI/ML) is a plus.

Pay Range Minimum:

$78,900.00

Pay Range Maximum:

$147,500.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.  The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
