Let’s get started! **Key Responsibilities** As an FP&A Intern, you’ll play an important role in supporting our Finance team and learning about the various components that drive our success. Working closely with finance professionals, you’ll gain hands-on experience while learning about key financial processes. Here’s a snapshot of your responsibilities: + **Budgeting & Forecasting:** Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for active construction and restoration projects. + **Financial Modeling:** Work with Adaptive Planning to analyze and update financial models. + **Revenue Recognition:** Support the revenue recognition process, tracking cost-to-cost methods. + **Variance Analysis:** Perform variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts. + **Excel & Data Analysis:** Utilize PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Query, and Power Pivot for reporting and insights. + **Data Management:** Participate in loading financial data into Adaptive Planning and ensuring accuracy. + **Special Projects:** Work on process improvements and financial reporting initiatives. + **Final Presentation:** Present key findings and insights to the finance team at the end of the internship. **What You Bring to the Table** + **Education:** Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. + **Experience:** No prior experience required, but familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting is a plus. + **Skills:** Proficiency in Excel, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail. + **Attributes:** Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and in a team. **Benefits** + **Impactful Work:** Gain hands-on experience in FP&A, contributing directly to financial decision-making. + **Collaborative Culture:** Work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment. + **Career Growth:** Expand your skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting while learning from mentors. + **Technology Exposure:** Hands-on training with Adaptive Planning and financial analysis tools. + **Final Project:** Present your learning and recommendations at the end of the internship. **Our Values** At Cotton, we value Action Orientation, Collaboration, and Accountability.
