The position executes financial processes and activities as well as analytics to support strategic business decisions. Our location in Lake Bluff, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a **Finance Supervisor** **to join our Finance team supporting Abbott’s Global Engineering Services department.** **What You Will Do:** + This position supports the GES organization reporting directly to DVP, Corporate Engineering and dotted line to the Sr. Finance Manager. + Partner with the Capital Planning Project Management Office in coordinating finance activities related to capital, capital expenditures, project expense, etc. Also lead the monthly/quarterly capital & project financial review meetings. + Provide financial and analytical support of Global Facilities Office Lease Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCEs). + Learn key financial processes and activities, including budgeting, analytics, business support and general accounting. + Review RCEs to ensure proper adherence to corporate policies. + Assist with cashflow forecasting and reporting. + Prepare corporate schedules related to RCEs and capital authorizations and expenditures. + Prepare depreciation forecast. + Drive continuous improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes. + Work both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical and critical thinking skills. + Prepare ad-hoc analysis and preparation of review materials for presentations to Business and Finance leaders. + Assumes a leadership role in offering ideas and recommendations for continuous improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes. + Actively promote positive team environment. Participate in talent development opportunities including training and mentoring. Prioritize self-development and continuous learning. **Required Skills:** + Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting + Four (4) or more years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and/or accounting + Proficient with financial modeling, applications and systems such as, SAP, Hyperion, Excel and PowerPoint + Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with and support business partners + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment **Desired Skills:** + Knowledge of capital planning and/or budgeting processes + Lease accounting background **What We Offer** At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
