The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. **What You’ll Work On** Our location in Lake County, IL, currently has an opportunity for a **Finance Supervisor – US Commercial** . This team member is responsible for assisting with all Core Lab FP&A Planning and Monthly Actuals Reporting processes for a $300 million sales channel, providing direct financial support for the US Commercial team and interfacing directly with Sales Directors and Area DVP to accomplish goals/tasks. This position works independently and collaborates with the Finance and business teams. This role is integral to the preparation and review of Plan, LBE (Latest Best Estimate) and Integrated Business Plan (IBP), as well as monthly close process and will be called upon to adapt to changes in the business environment and/or commercial strategy, implementing solutions to meet the needs of the management team. Additionally, the Supervisor will need to focus on understanding the product offerings, business dynamics, as well as establishing efficient processes and tools to effectively analyze and support new business opportunities. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** + Partner with the commercial teams to create and maintain sales forecasts for the annual Plan, monthly IBPs, and quarterly LBEs. This includes coordinating regular meetings with business teams, consolidation of regional data, challenging assumptions, and using professional judgement to create a forecast. + Own the P&L for assigned areas, including gross-to-net sales adjustments, customer rebate accruals, price/volume/mix analytics, and expense analysis. Investigate any significant variances and look for opportunities to improve margin. + Collaborate with Commercial Excellence to understand pipeline, forecast revenue and P&L, understand and challenge key assumptions. Identify and communicate any gaps or issues in achieving targets. + IBP and LBE system load submissions and tie out for sales and product cost for Total USO. + Develop ad-hoc business analysis and present recommendations to non-finance business partners. + Provide financial expertise and business decision support in evaluating and identifying the key issues and gaps in business performance and emerging business needs, deliver analyses that provide a foundation for management understanding and action. + Maintain and develop system solutions and process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning & reporting requirements. + Facilitate the monthly area close process and resolution of close issues, including Tracks accounting, instrument sales margin, etc. + Ensure appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate & Division financial policies and procedures. + Responsible for adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. + Meet timing and quality standards to facilitate effective senior management review and decision-making. + This role is involved in special projects with the Finance Director and other members of the commercial team and is expected to proactively look for ways to improve the planning and reporting processes. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or accounting or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. + Four or more years of financial experience demonstrating a progressive level of responsibility. **Preferred Qualifications** + Demonstrated ability to provide data and analysis to support decision making, methodical approach to problem solving and rational ideas supporting them, ability to keep learning and to teach others, traditional accounting knowledge and facilitator of management needs, streamlining functions within the department. + Master’s degree/CPA. + High proficiency in Microsoft office suite, primarily Microsoft Excel and Power Point. + Proficiency in TM1, Cognos and SAP are a plus. + Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints. + Oral and written ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with all levels of the organization. + Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions. The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
