JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Systems Analyst will assist with the maintenance, administration, and governance of finance systems and play a vital role in the planning, design, and security of those systems. In addition, the Finance Systems Analyst will perform system testing and configuration tasks, support ad hoc reporting requests by designing and developing reports, and will introduce interactive reporting technologies to facilitate management’s decision making. This person will work closely with the Financial Reporting and Accounting team, IT team, and Finance leads to administer and maintain finance systems.

 

DURING A TYPICAL DAY

You will implement updates and enhancements to multiple finance systems as directed.You will work with finance leaders and the IT team to define financial data, database fields, and special querying needs to produce summaries for financial results.You will translate business requirements and develop reporting solutions that yield relevant business information in a user‐friendly format.You will work with finance leaders to develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to accurately report the results of operations.You will report on the status of development projects and outstanding reporting requests.You will train and onboard new users on finance tools.You will adhere to best practice in report development, which includes creating, updating, and testing reports while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties within multiple environments.You will prepare documentation for system processes, controls, and procedures.You will assist the Information Systems team in creating test plans, testing new controls, implementing updates, and executing continual process improvements.Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!  

STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Analytics or Information Systems, knowledge of Management Information Systems is preferred.You value relationships and have a strong customer service focus.You are driven, organized and very detail oriented.You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently with a sense of urgency.You communicate effectively in writing and in person.You have the ability to collaborate and coordinate system improvements and enhancements while managing those changes across multiple business units and departments.You are a change agent ‐ you hate the answer, “because we’ve always done it this way” and drive continual process improvement.You have strong technical, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to suggest solutions.You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred. You’re also capable of learning new programs and software.
