Finance Systems Support Analyst

Job Description

The Finance Systems Support Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the financial applications to maximize availability and performance, provide troubleshooting and corrective action to resolve financial and business issues, and insures the usability and support for application enhancements and bug fixes. This individual will act as the Subject Matter Expert for application functionality, solutions, training, and documentation.  This role will require the use of some development/programmer competencies to complete work efforts.

Job Responsibilities

Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.Maintains end-to-end understanding of functional aspects of application and associated finance/business processes.Liaises between Finance/ Business function teams and IT, i.e. leverages IT with the finance and business requirements.Gathers and analyses requirements for improvement or solutions impacting Finance/Business and ITWorks directly with users to identify and resolve issues adversely impacting business processes.Maintains documentation (run books, technical design, build, deployment, install guides) and process standards in area of responsibility along with regular audits to validate accuracy.Defines potential improvement changes to resolve errors, prevents the recurrence of problems or improves system maintainability and stability for assigned applications.Develops customer relationships by making efforts to listen and understand the customer; anticipating and providing solutions to customer needs; giving high priority to customer satisfaction.Provide functional expertise and training to the end user on software applications usage. Identify, install, test, and maintain software needs for end user computers and vessels applications as directed. Perform technical review, acceptance testing and implementation of software and firmware upgrades. Manage, maintain, and monitor all system integrations facilitating data exchange with the ERP system and other related systems.  Triage all problems and issues associated to application integrations and data exchange. Manage and facilitate the technical review, installation, acceptance testing, and deployment of software upgrades and patches as directed. Participate in and communicate the Change Management Process associated to the maintenance and security of the software systems. Design customizations and data analytics queries, dashboards, displays and reports for data analytics projects.

Job Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or MIS.Have 5 years of experience in application support, Finance applications.Experience in Data Management required.Have 1 year of more years of experience in application development within the .NET framework; proficient in Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps required.SQL experience required.Demonstrate expertise in and comfortable using multiple technologies such as Python, VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, HTML, or XML.Familiarity with ITIL concepts and the ability to follow problem, change, and incident management processes and procedures.Familiarity with ERP or financial information systems (i.e. Deltek Vision, Microsoft Dynamics).Experience delivering solutions that align with business strategies.Experience troubleshooting complicated issues across multiple systems and driving to solutions.
