(https://hr.uw.edu/benefits/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2018/02/benefits-professional-staff-librarians-academic-staff-20221231\_a11y.pdf)** **UW Medicine Patient Financial Access Services – Finance Access Clearance Team (FACT)** has an outstanding opportunity for a **FINANCIAL ACCESS CLEARANCE MANAGER.** **WORK SCHEDULE** + 100% FTE (40 hours per week) + Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 4:30pm (weekends when needed) + Day Shift + Primarily remote, may require travel as necessary according to Enterprise Revenue Cycle needs **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Manages a team of 60 across 6 service lines system wide. + Collaborates regularly with UW Medicine Department leadership and executives; cross-department coordination is integral to daily operations. + Oversees 200–250 daily patient encounters, ensuring timely authorization and claim edits to prevent $4M–$9M in potential revenue risk. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Oversees daily supervisor meetings to align team assignments with financial risk and performance priorities + Continuously adjusts team focus to balance high-risk and routine work, ensuring efforts align with organizational impact + Engages stakeholders and department leaders to present KPIs, address workflow gaps, and resolve authorization risks + Partners with Business Analysts to troubleshoot issues, propose solutions, and reduce future risk + Leads root cause analysis of $0 reimbursement cases due to missing authorizations + Manages escalations and performance concerns in collaboration with supervisors and supported service line leaders + Collaborates system-wide with mid- and executive-level stakeholders to support FACT-related initiatives **REQUIREMENTS** + Bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience in Revenue Cycle, Financial Clearance/Patient Access + Financial clearance experience required + Epic User Knowledge, Epic Technical Knowledge _An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for stated requirements_ **ABOUT UW MEDICINE – WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHER** UW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
