Our client, a prestigious Corporate City law firm based near Liverpool Street is seeking to hire a Financial Accountant to join it’s small collaborative and fast paced Finance department directly supporting firmwide Partners and business support functions.
Salary up to £65,000 per annum + fantastic employee benefits to include 28 days annual leave, Private Medical Insurance, Gym Discounts etc.! Hybrid Working – 3 days in the office / 2 days remote) – Hours 09:30-17:30 Liverpool Street / City
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant to become part of an ambitious and supportive Finance team! The successful candidate will report into the Financial Controller and will play a crucial role in the financial and management reporting for the firm.
Financial Accountant Key Responsibilities
Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including P&Ls, investigating variances against budget Reconciliation of balance sheet codes to supporting documentation Assist in the month-end and year-end system close down procedure (including running month end reports) to ensure a prompt turnaround Preparation of the Firm’s financial KPIs, including the Weekly pack, Monthly fees report, Top 100 clients report, investigating variances against budget VAT return preparation Assist the Finance Systems Accountant, Cashiering Manager and Credit Controllers, with their duties, as and when required
Financial Accountant Skill Requirements
ACCA / CIMA qualified or part qualified Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a busy Finance department in a law firm Excellent working knowledge of Excel and 3E (not essential) Full SRA, VAT & AML knowledge Experience of running numerous financial based projects Excellent communication and organisational skills
