Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Qualified Accountant to join our European Centre of Excellence, SSC (Shared Service Centre) finance team.  The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and ambitious individual who is actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAEW) and is eager to contribute their skills and knowledge to our organization. The role will assume full ownership for the accounting and internal and external reporting requirements for one or more of our European entities

\n

·       Month-End Closing: Ownership of the month-end and year-end closing procedures, including all journal entries, reconciliations, reviews and associated internal control deliverables such as Local Stat. to GAAP reconciliations and Quarterly Schedules.

\n

·       General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

\n

·       Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, internal policies and procedures.and any other local statutory requirements

\n

·       End to end ownership of year end audit: Own relationship with external and  auditors during audit engagements, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

\n

·       Financial Statements: Preparation of local statutory financial statements.

\n

·       Process Improvement: Pro-actively identify opportunities for process improvements and simplification and assist in implementing efficiency enhancements within the finance department

\n

·       Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide insights to support decision-making.

\n

·       VAT Returns: Responsibility for preparation, review and submission of VAT returns in addition to addressing any VAT queries.

·       Finalist or advanced part-qualified in a recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)

\n

·       Strong, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards

\n

·       Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

\n

·       Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation

\n

·       Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships

\n

·       Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

\n

·       Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively

\n

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

\n

·       Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing financial regulations and industry trends.
