The Role
Step into a key role as a Financial Accountant, where you'll be at the heart of our financial operations. In this role, you’ll have an essential part in the month-end process, preparing journals and reconciliations, while also contributing to our FRS 102 financial statements and collaborating closely with auditors and more! This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to kick start the accounting career and grow your accounting skills while contributing to impactful projects within our finance team. Based in our Edinburgh office, you’ll benefit from a hybrid work model enjoying both in-office collaboration and the flexibility of remote work.
The impact you will make:
Assisting with financial month-end close, including preparation of various month end journals Preparation of month end reconciliations for review by senior team members Assisting with preparation of FRS 102 financial statements, including liaising with local auditors for any queries during the annual audit process Assisting with variance and account analysis for review by internal leadership and external auditors Support the control environment by ensuring compliance with SOX key controls and answering queries arising from SOX testing Assisting with the implementation of a new accounting system in 2025 Additional duties as requiredWhat you will bring to us:
Newly qualified accountant - CIMA, ACCA or CA Highly analytical, detail oriented with commercial awareness Ability to work well within a team, to ensure tight deadlines are met Excellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat we will offer you:
