The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Commercial Finance Team to provide a range of Accounting and Control services. The role works specifically with all the teams responsible for Fleet, Fuel, Pilots and associated Overheads. The role provides an effective Accounting and Control service to both internal and external customers that helps to meet the strategic imperatives of the business by working as part of a collaborative team looking to coordinate activities and promote improved ways of working across TUI Airline.
In addition to the above the role would work closely with wider TUI UK teams and support the completion of the IFRS16 stat adjustment for Aircraft leases within the UK Airline.
The role has a direct report and has responsibility for the daily management of the Finance Analyst including objective setting, annual review process, journal review and approval, Balance sheet review and general development.

ABOUT THE JOBForm strong relationships with key finance and non-finance colleagues so that they provide you with the necessary information required in a timely manner to enable you to deliver month end accounting activities effectively. To do this you will need to understand how unforeseen costs and revenues have impacted the overall Balance Sheet position, communicating any risks and opportunities to key stakeholders to support decision making
Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations, Balance Sheet reviews and associated reporting
Understand and be comfortable with large data sets from a range of sources; interrogate and analyse data proficiently and meaningfully, liaising with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in an effective and precise way
Support transformation and alignment of key Airline processes
Management and development of a direct report
Completion of IFRS16 process within the UK Airline
Dealing with Internal and external Auditors to deliver reporting requirements
