Financial Accountant - Contractor

This role is responsible for the accurate representation and recording of the company’s inventory arising from North America contracts.  The position has a good understanding of the inventory cycle for RB entities including contract support and review, inventory tracking, revenue recognition and COGS accounting and accuracy, and intercompany processes and accounting. 

Please note this is a contract role that may last up to 12 months in length.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or other professional accounting credentials preferred.Knowledge of inventory accounting, business law, and GAAP reporting including accrual accounting, internal controls and basic knowledge SOX requirements.Three to five years of relevant experience preferred.Ensure North America financial results related to inventory contract revenue recognition, COGS, and inventory valuation are reported accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP, corporate and regulatory requirements, both pre and post auction.Preparation and/or review of monthly and quarterly working papers relating to inventory and inventory contracts, ensuring proper classification and no material misstatement.Maintains a solid understanding of the business, its transactional and contractual obligations regarding inventory and becomes directly involved in specific business issues and their resolution.Participation in special projects, committees, and other duties/projects as may be assigned.Review inventory contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment.Determine necessary period end journal entries relate to inventory dealsPerform research when needed.Manage time effectively to handle a high-volume workload in a deadline driven environment.Foster strong customer relationships by interacting with both internal and external customers.Work closely with the other departments and offices to address issues and ensure alignment.Availability to travel for training, networking, and departmental projects.  Occasional travel to auction events for training & relationship building
