You will be a member of our dynamic Financial Controllership team, reporting into the Director - European Accounting, responsible for assisting in the successful financial reporting and control for the French entity under relevant accounting and regulatory bases.
You will be a key player in accounting transformation.
You will be responsible for providing management with a high-quality analysis and advice in order to assist in embedding changes accounting transformation, accounting requirements and to lead the required accounting, compliance and governance for the French entity. You will also be required to analyse and explain key P&L and Balance Sheet content and movements.
We operate a hybrid working model, being 3 days in the office a week. Dependent on location of the successful candidate.

ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to;
Play a key role in the accounting for France Own key elements of the month-end close to ensure that the month-end is completed accurately and on time, including preparation and posting of journal entriesPerform key reconciliations for both income statement and balance sheet, ensuring reconciling items are investigated and cleared on a timely basisWork closely with the Inventory, AR and AP teams, where necessaryReview work performed by other members of staff, where necessaryContribute commentary to monthly results meetings to ensure that Finance understand the key driversAssist in the preparation of annual statutory and regulatory reporting for FranceReview VAT, Corporate Tax, and other local tax reconciliations and submissionsProduce information to be included within Board Reports and for Group reporting to the agreed timescales and requirementsLiaise with external auditors to provide required information and review of report and accounts, including delivery of draft trial balances and draft financial statementsEnsure controls are maintained and developed as appropriateManage relationships with key stakeholders, such as the US team and other International teamsDeputise for the Senior Finance Manager and Director of European Accounting Qualifications Accounting qualification (DSCG/DEC/ACCA/ATA/Bachelor Degree)Working knowledge of IFRS and French GAAPFamiliar with month-end accounting (Opérations Diverses) and resulting financial reportingFluent in English and FrenchHigh level of knowledge of French business regulationsMinimum 2-3 years experienceExperience working in in an international/global group Required Skills Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask, handle a fairly heavy workload, and be very well organized in order to meet all the deadlinesAbility to utilize tools made available to them in order to work in the most efficient mannerAbility to deal with multiple currency platforms and working with conversion ratesAnalytical ability and problem solving skillsDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsPreferred Skills
Experience in International Accounting; Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger Certifications Required Accounting qualification (DSCG/DEC/ACCA/ATA/Bachelor Degree) Unique Requirements Fluent in English and French Additional Information Business working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break.
