Your key responsibilities

 

The nature of this role means no two projects will be the same. That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop solutions. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, so we’ll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.

 

An understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) Assist in audit readiness engagements The ability to analyze the client’s accounting matters against these standards ensuring that an appropriate accounting conclusion is reached Consult with appropriate external and internal resources on accounting issues Participate in multiple engagement teams within Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Collaborate with the FAAS engagement team and client to determine a strategy that appropriately addresses risk and manages client expectations relating to deliverables Work with other service lines to provide an integrated service delivery Develop and maintain long-term productive client relationships and networks.

To qualify for the role you must have:

An Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CPA) Minimum 4-6 years of related work experience in the external audit field would be an asset Experience in preparation and/or review of financial statements would be an asset Experience in writing technical accounting memos would be an asset
