Financial Accounting SpecialistSummary of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Reporting Specialist to perform day-to-day reporting activities within financial policies, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for internal and external parties. This role ensures compliance with legal and accounting regulations, prepares Amadeus reporting, and supports the Global Finance Transformation and Finance Forward Project.

Main Responsibilities

Accounting Closing and Reporting Process:

Perform month-end closing activities, manage treasury reconciliation and accruals, and prepare financial statements and reports.

Run monthly revaluation processes, analyze exchange rate differences, and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Prepare corporate financial statements and reports, and handle reporting to Spanish Public Administrations.

Assistant to Business Process Owner of Close To Report - Period End Close (CTR-PEC):

Collaborate in defining global procedures, support Close To Report - Period End Close (CTR-PEC) teams, and ensure smooth processes and reporting deadlines.

Participate in the stabilization phase of the Global Finance Transformation Program and Finance Forward Project.

Global Chart of Accounts (CoA):

Manage the Global Chart of Accounts, maintain financial statement structures, and support companies with accounts and Local GAAP financial statements.

About the Ideal Candidate

University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.

At least 2-3 years in a finance audit department within a multinational firm environment.

Extensive accounting expertise (IFRS and SGAAP).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Advanced SAP user level (S4/HANA).

High proficiency in English and Spanish.

Advanced analytical skills and ability to work within time frames.

Effective organizational skills and process optimization abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Accountability, initiative, and a thoughtful perspective.
