We are looking for a TAX Accounting Expert (Special Purpose) to join DHL Express.

\n\n\n\nHow will you contribute to the success of DHL?\n

As an Accounting Expert within our Financial Accounting team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our international operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and precise preparation and reporting of monthly financial statements. This role willfocus on the accounting of holding and financing companies, providing you with the opportunity to develop specialized skills within a global multinational organization. Your key activities will include.

\n\nPreparing and following up on multiple balance sheet accounts.\nMaintaining the chart of accounts and performing account and sub-ledger reconciliations.\nSupporting the analytical review of the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.\nPreparing and processing accruals and provisions and executing month-end closing activities according to the schedule.\nProviding financial information to local finance teams and internal/external auditors.\nPreparing statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP, based on IFRS group accounting records.\nActing as a subject matter expert in accounting, capable of understanding and addressing complex accounting issues.\nUnderstanding the interconnections between accounting and other Finance processes to support and advise colleagues and business partners effectively.\nCoaching and training colleagues within your area of expertise.\n\n\n

\nDo you have what it takes?\n

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s or University degree in Financial Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics.\nStrong understanding of Accounting and Accounting Principles.\nAn interest in or knowledge of Dutch tax legislation and compliance is a plus.\nExcellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Oracle/SAP applications.\nAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships with local business partners.\nStrong focus on continuous improvement.\nFamiliarity with IFRS and Deutsche Post DHL policies is a plus.\n3+ years of experience in Record to Report (RtR) / General Ledger, with familiarity with RtR policies and Global Operating Models.\nFluent inDutch and English.\n\n\n
