JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst II is a hybrid role and serves as the key financial resource. Provides financial research required to support the goals and goals of Baylor and Baylor Health Care System (BHCS).

\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nProvides financial study support to administrators, department directors, and others as directed or required to assist in the efficient and cost-effective operation of BHCS.\nConduct external labor productivity benchmarking for hospital and clinic personnel to identify opportunities for optimization and cost-efficiency improvements.\nCollaborate with operational leaders to explain the benchmarking process, interpret results, and provide actionable insights to enhance productivity.\nCoordinate and manage the collection of relevant data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate benchmarking results effectively to key stakeholders.\nAnalyze trends, patterns, and deviations in labor productivity data, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending strategies for enhancement.\nPrepares research and presents and protects findings for any labor productivity changes\nProvides ongoing budget vs. actual expense variance investigation through review of both standard reports and reports that have been developed specifically for the entity.\nPrepares verbal or written results of study of department operating efficiencies and presents/discusses them with management and others as required.\nDevelops and produces Management Reports as required/requested.\nServes as a liaison between the assigned area and Outcome Support Services and other finance areas of BHCS.\nMaintains professional growth through participation in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.\nConducts finance training for BHCS personnel as directed.\n\n
