Objective Provide customer service to students for the financial aid, veteran services, and scholarships office. Responsible for various job duties performed within the financial aid office to ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Education and Blinn College’s policies. Essential Duties 1. Provide front end customer service assistance to students, including answering financial aid questions, responding to financial aid phone calls and emails, and referring higher level financial aid questions to the appropriate full-time team member.

2. Clerical duties, including the organization and filing of documents, accepting student financial aid documents and either scanning them in or ensuring they are received by the appropriate full-time team member.

3. Additional duties as assigned by the department, which may include the cleaning or reorganization of the office file room, receiving mail orders, or assisting full-time staff with various financial aid tasks. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly with people of various backgrounds and experiences in such a way that they feel comfortable and willing to work well together.

2. Self-motivated and goal oriented, team player.

3. Ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously. Preferred Experience and Training 1. Customer service
