The Financial Analysis Consultant role will be a key member of the Corporate Expense team within Finance reporting directly to the Director, Corp Expense. This role provides expense planning and analysis, and overall expense support, to multiple Corp Function areas (ex. Marketing, HR, Law, etc.) that ultimately support all lines of business. The position requires strong partnership with both the Business and Expense peers to provide financial support, strategic analysis, and business insight.

* This position will be Hybrid in our Hartford, CT (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in offic).

Responsibilities include:

Perform monthly reporting and financial analysis including a regular meeting cadence with customers to provide business insight and strategic support

Ensure accurate accounting of expenses including proper cost allocations and reserving

Partner with business partners to develop multi-year outlooks incorporating various drivers of cost

Develop analysis (operational metrics, trends, etc.) and forward-looking commentary for monthly financial exhibits including both managed and allocated expense reporting

Be a Thought Partner: Recommend solutions and help drive business decisions; guide the customer towards solutions

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

At least five years of financial or accounting experience

Strong Excell skills, TM1 skills a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate financial results to various levels of management

Self-starter, self-motivated, and performance driven with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities

Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners, and other expense peers

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$98,800 - $148,200
