Functional Role (Job Description)

The primary responsibilities will be centered on development and architecture guidance. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in PowerBI and SQL, along with a strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance..

Profile summary

The role is to support APAC team in Data Mining and Analysis as well as supporting the management of BI tool – Designing and creating new reports as well as continue to maintain the current reports. Using skills and experience, the person will design, test and implement reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data store/warehouse. Looking for an individual, who is forward thinking, enjoys challenges in logical thinking and process improvement, is highly organized and pays close attention to detail.

Education Background

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business field.

Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst – Associate and above

Master’s Degree preferably in an analytical or business discipline (Accounting / Finance, Computer Science, etc.) - MBA Finance, M. Com

Project Management Certification (PMI, PMBok, Prince2)

Work Experience

4-5 years of work experience, preferably in Financial Reporting preferably in IT and/or ITeS company in a Global Environment. High level proficiency in PowerBi, having delivered a number of dashboard ecosystems.

Knowledge of system integrator business model

Knowledge of basic accounting principles

 

Key Responsibilities

1.  PowerBI Development

   - Design, develop, and deliver high-performance PowerBI dashboards as specified by Data Analysts and stakeholders.

   - Optimize data models, visuals, and dashboards to improve performance, usability, and scalability.

   - Ensure that all PowerBI solutions meet organizational standards and can adapt to changing data requirements.

2.  SQL & PowerQuery Development

   - Create and optimize SQL & PowerQuery queries to extract, transform, and load data for use in PowerBI dashboards.

   - Develop efficient, reusable, and scalable data structures, such as views, stored procedures, and functions, to support PowerBI solutions.

   - Develop efficient, reusable, and scalable data queries of EIP360 and SG Cube, to support PowerBI solutions.

3.  Solution Architecture

   - Collaborate with Data Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and recommend the best technical approach for PowerBI solutions.

   - Support solution architecture for data sources, data integration, and transformation processes.

   - Implement best practices for data integration, model optimization, and data flows.

4.  Data Security & Compliance

   - Ensure that PowerBI solutions adhere to company data security and compliance standards.

   - Recommend and implement security measures such as row-level security, access controls, and data masking.

   - Collaborate with the internal security team to address data governance and protect sensitive information within PowerBI solutions.

5.  Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

   - Document PowerBI and SQL solutions, including data models, transformations, security configurations, and development procedures.

   - Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for the onshore data team to facilitate smooth ongoing support.

Timeframe Management: Complete development tasks within the agreed-upon deadlines, unless agreed. Quality: Achieve dashboard usability and error-free SQL queries, with 100% adherence to data security standards. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively convey insights and findings to stakeholders, both verbally and through written reports. Problem-Solving Abilities: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify key business issues, analyze data, and recommend solutions to improve business performance.
