FINANCIAL ANALYST

While reporting directly to the Associate Director, FP&A RPC NA as the Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the annual planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and various types of financial analysis. Additional responsibilities include long-range strategic planning, special project assignments, and financial process improvements. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Act as a key contributor to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes working cross functionally with the sales team, manufacturing team, and corporate financeConduct financial analyses and special project work for the division, including preparation of various pro formas, discounted cash flows, ROI’s as they related to major expansion/acquisitions/divestitures and business valuationsSupport the division level activities related to the financial close processAssist with / coordinate Internal Audit and SOX requirements in the divisionDevelop and implement approaches and templates to improve financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and analyticsUndertake statistical analysis and analytical/industry researchAssist in the review of capital projects checking the accuracy and reasonableness of financial projections and compliance with Corporate and Division capital policiesAssist with training of new manufacturing and sales personnel in Sonoco accounting and financial systemsOther duties as assigned

This a hybrid position located in either our Hartsville, SC or Charlotte, NC locations.

Four Year Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalentDemonstrated FP&A experience within a corporate role or BU role, strongly preferred.Preferred Certifications: CPA, CMAIndividual has strong knowledge of Sonoco's business and/or experience in other manufacturing settingsExperience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Onestream, and EFI RadiusStrong technical aptitude and ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies

Compensation: 

The annual base salary range for this role is from $100,960 to $113,580, plus an annual target bonus of 7.5% of base salary.

Note: This is a progression position and level will be based on candidate experience and business needs.
