The Royal Caribbean Group’s Silversea Brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst, Marine reporting to the Director of Marine Finance.
This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for forecasting, analyzing, and managing the financial budgets for the Silversea Corporation marine operations. Their primary objective is to support the marine operations team with financial insight into their costs. They will evaluate financial performance and forecast trends by ship. Additionally, they will analyze drydock costs and other marine expenses to provide decision-making results. The Analyst will need a strong work ethic, a good level of attention to detail, outstanding analytical skills, and a solution-oriented approach to problems. Effective communication to management and the respective operational groups is critical to the success of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial models for projects and operational expenses. Own the month-end closing process and ensure entries are calculated and recorded accurately. Work with Accounting to ensure financials are accurate and complete. Collaborate with the Marine operational teams to produce accurate forecasts, record and analyze actual performance and identify plan of action to address variances. Prepare financial reports and presentations to communicate performance to stakeholders. Partner with various teams to facilitate invoice processing and payment approvals. Manage and oversee the financial planning and budgeting process for marine operations with a total budget ranging from $50M to $75M. Monitor the drydock performances of the fleet. Support brand initiatives and ad-projects as assigned.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
B.A in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. One to three years’ experience related to financial or business analysis. Cruise or Hospitality experience preferred. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Dashboard analytic experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate and organize. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in analysis.We know there's a lot to consider.
