Financial Analyst, Revenue Accounting

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

Support A&F Co.’s Wholesale, Sell Off, Licensing, and Franchise revenue channelsSupervise and support a team of accounts receivable clerks with responsibility for issuing prompt customer invoices, collecting/applying payment, and researching and resolving invoice discrepancies.Create journal entries and reconcile general ledger receivablesTie out reported revenue to invoices and subsequent paymentsControl and prevent outstanding past due receivables while maintaining customer relationship and engagementAssist manager with data analysis and reporting, including accurate dashboard aging reporting and financial metricsIntegrate yourself more fully with business operations to provide maximum supportStay in front of changing business demands, ensure Finance concerns and needs are addressed in proposed solutionAssist in maintaining and modifying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures and controlsPartner with PeopleSoft IT team to adjust invoices to support individual customers' contract terms (discounts, payment terms, delivery, etc.)Support Treasury cash flow projections or similar requirementsLeverage technology, including automation, to drive operational efficiency and effectively manage working capitalDevelop & maintain efficient operational procedures applied consistently across the teamCultivate effective relationships with various internal teams, including Business Development, Information Technology (IT), and TreasuryProvide excellent cross-functional support and troubleshoot issuesMaintain and communicate individual and team performance standards

What Do You Need To Bring? 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related experience Strong data mining skills (Experience with Peoplesoft, Hyperion, Excel or ABI). Ability to reconcile large volumes of data using Excel and/or third-party reconciliation softwareFull understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g., revenue recognition, expense matching)Ability to reconcile large volumes of data using Excel and/or third-party reconciliation softwareExperience with financial management systems (e.g. PeopleSoft)Ability to recruit, develop, and maintain an effective teamExperience in building strong internal and external business partner relationships, with strong communication skillsHigh attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on operational efficiencyThrive in stressful situations and maintain calm under pressureComfort in working with large volumes of data (invoices) and an ever evolving and growing segment of the A&F businessExperience with PeopleSoft preferred, but not requiredPrevious supervisory experience preferred, but not required
